Klondike Solitaire
Build the four foundations from ace to king
Klondike Solitaire is the classic single-player card game for the browser. A standard 52-card deck is dealt into seven tableau columns that grow from one card on the left to seven on the right, with only the last card of each column face up. Your goal is to move every card onto the four foundations above, building each suit from Ace to King.
Draw one card at a time from the stock pile in the top left and send cards onto a foundation or down onto the tableau. On the tableau, cards stack in descending rank and alternating red and black; an empty column accepts only a King. Any correctly ordered run moves as a group. Tap a card to select it, tap a pile to drop it, or double-tap to sweep it straight up to its foundation.
Winning is a puzzle of order, not speed. Expose face-down cards first, keep an empty column for a King, and free low cards early so higher ones can flow. About a third of random deals are solvable, so a patient plan beats a fast flick. When every card is face up, the Auto button finishes the clear, and the round is won the moment all four foundations hold a full suit.
Everything here is a single self-contained page drawn on a canvas with plain text suit symbols, so there are no image files to load and nothing to install. The game makes no network calls, sets no tracking cookies, and never asks for an account. Your best score is saved only on the device you are using, and the same layout plays cleanly on a phone or a desktop window.
How to play
- Tap the stock pile to flip one card into the waste; when the stock is empty, tap it again to recycle the waste back.
- Move cards onto foundations (same suit, Ace to King) or onto the tableau (descending rank, alternating colour); empty columns take only a King.
- Win by filling all four foundations. Use the Auto button once every card is face up to finish automatically.
Controls
- Tap the deck (top left) to draw; tap again when empty to recycle the waste.
- Tap a card to select it, then tap a foundation or tableau column to move it.
- Double-tap any card to send it straight to the matching foundation.
- Buttons: New Game and Auto (top centre). Keys: N new, A auto, D or Space draw.
Tips
- Expose face-down cards before chasing flashy moves; a flipped column opens more options than a quick score.
- Guard an empty column for a King, since only a King can start a fresh pile.
- Move whole alternating runs together to relocate long sequences in a single tap.
