Color Switch

Match the hue, then pass through the spinning gate

Color Switch is a one-button reflex game with one rule: the falling ball passes a spinning ring only when its colour matches the arc it touches. A small orb drops down a track while rings of four coloured arcs rotate in its path. Tap or click and the orb hops upward and shifts to the next colour, buying a beat to line up.

Each ring is split into four arcs, red, cyan, yellow and purple, and never stops turning. A dot at the top marks the colour you must be when you cross, judged at that single contact point. Cross in the wrong colour and the run ends, so the game is a timing puzzle: read the spin, then decide whether to switch your colour or wait for the right arc.

There is no clock and no combo, only five rings down the track. Clear all five to win; miss one and you retry. One input does everything on phone, mouse or keyboard, so the focus stays on the spin. Gravity pulls the orb down at a steady pace no matter how still you hold.

The whole game is one self-contained canvas page, with no images to load and no server to contact. Nothing is tracked and no account is asked for. It opens in any modern browser, plays the same in portrait or landscape, and your session never leaves the page.

How to play

  1. Tap or click anywhere to start the drop.
  2. Each tap makes the orb hop upward and cycle its colour to the next of four.
  3. Cross a ring only when your orb colour matches the arc at its top.
  4. Pass all five rings to clear the board; a wrong colour ends the run.

Controls

  • Tap / click / Space — hop and switch colour
  • Mouse and touch supported; no other keys needed
  • Tap again on Game Over to retry

Tips

  • Watch the dot at the top of each ring, it shows the colour you need right now.
  • Time your tap so the rotating arc reaches the top in your colour, instead of mashing.
  • A hop slows your fall, use it to wait for the right arc rather than to rush.

Frequently asked questions

Why did I lose when I touched the ring?

You crossed in a colour that did not match the arc at the ring’s top contact point. Match that colour and the orb passes through.

Does the game get faster?

Each ring spins at its own fixed speed and the orb falls under steady gravity, so the challenge is timing, not accelerating difficulty.

Is my play tracked?

No. The game runs entirely in your browser with no tracking, cookies or accounts.
