Bubble Shooter

Match three bubbles, drop the stragglers, and keep the pack off the danger line

Bubble Shooter drops you into a honeycomb pack of coloured bubbles with a launcher at the bottom. Aim and fire: the bubble travels in a straight line, ricochets off the side walls, and locks into the nearest free slot the moment it touches another bubble or the ceiling. Land three or more of one colour in a connected group and the whole cluster pops.

The scoring rewards reading the board rather than firing fast. A matched cluster is worth ten points per bubble, and any bubble stranded without a path back to the ceiling drops with it for double, twenty points each. Clearing a support bubble under a heavy section is the highest-value move on the board, so the best runs come from planning two or three shots ahead.

The pack starts five rows deep and grows with every shot that pops nothing, which is what creates the pressure: the round ends the moment the bubbles cross the dashed danger line near the launcher. The next bubble is always drawn from a colour still present on the board, so you are never handed a dead shot. Clearing the board entirely counts as a win.

Everything is drawn on a single canvas in one self-contained page, with no images to download and no server to talk to. Drag with a finger or mouse to aim and release to fire; on desktop the arrow keys nudge the aim, Space fires and R restarts. There is no account and no tracking, and it plays the same on a phone as it does in a browser window.

How to play

  1. Drag anywhere on the board to aim the launcher, then release to fire.
  2. A bubble stops as soon as it touches another bubble or the ceiling.
  3. Connect three or more of the same colour to pop the whole cluster.
  4. Bubbles left hanging with no route to the ceiling drop for double points.
  5. The round ends if the pack reaches the dashed danger line.

Controls

  • Mouse / touch: drag to aim, release to fire
  • Arrow Left / Right: nudge the aim angle
  • Space: fire
  • R: restart the round

Tips

  • Aim for the ceiling and bank off the side walls to reach pockets a straight shot cannot.
  • Popping a support bubble drops everything hanging beneath it, and those are worth double.
  • Count the colours before you fire; the next bubble is always one still on the board.
  • A shot that pops nothing still adds a bubble and pushes the pack down, so skip only when you must.
  • Clear from the top down when you can, it keeps the pack shallow and buys you room.

Frequently asked questions

How many bubbles do I need to match?

Three or more of the same colour in one connected group. The group is counted through shared edges in the honeycomb, so a diagonal chain counts as long as every bubble touches the next.

Why did some bubbles fall without me matching them?

Any bubble with no connected path back to the ceiling is unsupported and drops automatically. Those falling bubbles score double, so cutting a support column on purpose is the strongest move in the game.

Can I aim off the walls?

Yes. The dotted guide shows the full path including wall ricochets before you release, so you can reach gaps that a direct shot would miss.

What ends the round?

The pack crossing the dashed danger line ends the run. Clearing every bubble off the board counts as a win and ends it with a bonus message.
